Save Lots of Space with a Kitchen that Folds Up!

Space – no longer the final frontier, but the most annoying problem when it comes to our house, our kitchen and the lack of it. There are lots of talented designers that try to deliver compact kitchen designs and all sorts of products that help us get the most out of the limited space, but this concept for a kitchen that folds up is simply something I have never seen before and something that looks simply amazing.

Originally presented by the folks over at Yankodesign, the kitchen that folds up – InFold – is simply amazing: “a modular wall-mounted kitchen but with everything fold-able. The appliances, sink, cooking platform, chairs, cooking range, all fold up vertically into the length of the wall.” Sounds interesting enough for you and a possible answer to the lack of space? It certainly is, so let’s just hope that this kitchen concept for small kitchens will eventually go into production! Until then, check some images of it below:

Take a Break and Visit the Muzeum Sztuki Cafe!

No, this is not an advertorial or something like that, it’s the pure truth: every now and then we should take a break from our kitchens and simply let others serve us while we enjoy the class and style. The cafe in the Muzeum Sztuki in Lodz, Poland is such an example and can be used as inspiration for our future design of a kitchen.

Combining and mixing together ultra modern designs with antiques and minimalistic elements, the cafe becomes an unique place where one would certainly love to spend his or her time. Created by Stepien Paulina Magdalena Piwowar, the Muzeum Sztuki cafe can be admired below:

Feel Like Sailing with This Maritime Kitchen

For those of you who are not feeling the effects of the economic recession, this kitchen design I’m proposing today will certainly become the next thing on your wish list, especially if you’re that kind of person who loves the sea or the ocean, or just the luxuriant cruises.

Created by Alno German and named MareCucina (something like the Sea Kitchen), this beautiful kitchen design has the looks of a sailboat – and one that’s roomy enough to offer you all the space you need for cooking, but at the same time keeping it tight enough to make your kitchen look like an ocean. Works perfectly with blue kitchens, the Maritime Kitchen MareCucina can be enjoyed in the images below:

Outdoor Kitchen Looks Nice, Portable

Maybe sometimes you just wish to get out of the house and start cooking outside – and I’m not talking here about a barbeque or something similar, but a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. In such a case you need it to be light, easy to handle, durable and… covered.

With these in mind, Joaquin Bastos created a kitchen design that fits the picture perfectly: it is light and easily portable, it can be extended to hold up to six persons and it also has a kind of a rustic look that makes you feel like dining or cooking at/for a fancy restaurant rather than in the backyard. Which is always a Pro.

But it all sounds best in the designer’s own words: “The kitchen, with a functional design of simple rectangular shapes, is based on a modular system, which allows for a wide range of options depending on the user´s needs”. Check out the outdoor kitchen and see for yourself:
